Morgan's 8th Birthday!

Morgan chose to go to COCOK's Nail Salon for her 8th Birthday Party this year. She invited three of her friends, so all of us girls went to Cocok on the sea wall for an afternoon of toe pampering. One of the little girls had never been to get her toes done, so it was a real treat for her. They all enjoyed looking through magazines, sipping Japanese tea, picking out toe art, and eating hard candy. After the toes were completely dry, we headed home for games, pizza, movies, and a slumber party. It was a great way to spend a birthday!

Spring sports are in full swing here on Okinawa! Brenna is in the middle of her basketball season and the Shock are UNDEFEATED! The girls are playing really well this year. Brenna has matured on the court quite a bit and has been scoring points and working to play more aggressively! Morgan and Sydney continue to achieve goals in gymnastics. They just participated in their first competition since moving to Okinawa! Morgan did very well and placed 1st on Floor and Bars and got 2nd All-Around in her age group! Sydney did fantastic in all of her routines and enjoyed "performing" for the large crowd! It's been a busy weekend here!

1st Holy Communion

Morgan received her First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil Service, April 11. We are so proud of her! We wish all of our friends and family could have been with us to celebrate this special event! The excitement has built up all year for Morgan, and she is feeling very grown up to be able to receive Communion from this day on.

Spring Break 2009 - Okuma

Spring Break was spent at our favorite spot - OKUMA! We had decent weather for two of the days and not so hot weather for the rest, but we can always find fun at the Motel 6 on the beach! This time we hung out with our friends the Clancy's and the van de Veldes! It's always great to get away and relax. Be looking in the next couple days for Easter pictures and Morgan's 1st Holy Communion!! Lots happening here!!
